Behind the Blonde

Born as Kerressey, but most of you know me as either KC or Kerre.

I started getting into hair when I was in high school, always enjoyed messing around with different styles and playing kitchen beautician with friends (shout out to the days of frying our hair off with those blonding caps). When I graduated high school, I went off to college for a year, and although I had a great time, I knew the beauty industry was just something I was more passionate about.

After finishing cosmetology school in 2011, I worked at a few different salons, trying to find which atmosphere best fit my personality. One of the best things I did for myself was deciding to work at Drybar in Back Bay in 2013. The concept of a blow-dry bar was completely new to the city, and I loved being apart of an awesome, diverse team of stylists! That is where I found my confidence behind the chair and love for working with all different types of people.

In 2015 I finally found my hair home, in South Boston. I worked along side an amazing group of women for over five years, and learned an incredible amount about myself and the industry. In that time I built so many wonderful relationships with clients and formed a strong bond with the South Boston community.

Over the years I have consistently continued my education, traveling around the country to learn so many new trends and techniques. I have been fortunate enough to train with some of the most exclusive stylists this industry has to offer, and my willingness to learn will always be there.

The next big chapter in my career and life, is now starting my very own brand and business. I am incredibly passionate about this journey, and I am looking forward to seeing how far I can go. My ultimate goal is to create a space that has everyone feeling more beautiful and confident by the time they leave. I believe beauty is more than just what is seen on the outside. It is about creating connections and raising each other up to be the best versions of ourselves. That positive energy radiates all around us, and makes this world a better place.
